Fall 2015 and spring 2017 have shown us some amazing new hairstyles, new colours, and old favourites with a modern twist. New twists on old favourites where shown by major houses such as Stella McCartney, Hermes, Fendi, Chanel, and Dolce & Gabbana.

Consult your MUD Studio stylist about any of these looks, and come up with a whole new, on-trend you today!

Look 1: Short bobs and pixie cuts

Over the past year celebrities have been flocking to styles such as the bob, and pixie cuts. Bob haircuts have grown so much in popularity that they are the go-to style for moms in 2017. Use a bob or a pixie to bring up your styling game a notch In 2017, look for shorter styles trickling into the mainstream, with edgier styles becoming more prevalent. Undercuts, razor cuts, and shaven portions are reinventing traditional styles with a modern new edge. Add a new colour or highlights to create a whole new look for 2017!

Look 2: Fringes and short bangs

Spring 2017 is also trending towards fringes and blunt bangs, proving once again that what is old is new again. Bangs have been off-trend for a while now and we are so glad to see their return, as it's a simple way to change your whole look without chopping off all of your hair.

Look 3: Healthy hair

This is the hair trend on every fashion runway in 2017. Impossible to miss, and whether its straight, untreated, crimped, or wavy, healthy hair is the new norm.

Look 4: Accessories

We love, love, love the new trend of hair accessories, and MUD Studio has a great selection of hair accessories that are funky, modern and eye catching. Hair accessories are the latest trends from design houses Fendi, Chanel, and Dolce & Gabbana.

Look 5: The bun

Another blast-from-the-past, the bun has been completely reinvented with versions that ride high on your head, and cascading down the back, or twisted to the side.

Look 6: Long lengths

Long hair cascading down the chest and back are runway staples, but for 2017 there is new emphasis on perfect, long tresses. Christian Dior and Michael Kors in particular are embracing this look.

Look 7: Slicked back hair

We first saw this look appearing in summer 2015, and this time it is continuing with no end in sight. Think damp roots that still has comb marks that you can tie up or leave free. Stella McCartney and Hermes are showing this look right now.

Look 8: Return of the curl

Wavy hair has had its day and we are seeing a signalling to the return of round, sexy, plump curls that gives your MUD Studio stylist ample room to play with variations and styles.

Look 9: Off-center parting

The off-center part is the most on-fleek style trend for 2017. The off-center part opens up so many possibilities and always looks so chic. Balmain, Giambattista Valli, Dries Van Noten, Anthony Vaccarello and Chanel are all rocking this look right now.

Look 10: French braids and ponytails

For us, the French braid never went out of style and it has come roaring back with a ponytail aspect that designers have been loving, because it gives the designer so much latitude in creating a truly unique style. These days, even braided updos are common, and the MUD Studio stylists can recreate even the most complicated braided pattern.

Look 11: Balayage

Balayage continues to dominate well into 2017 as the must-have hair colour. Inspired by all of the models and A-list celebrities that wear it, the people have spoken and we see no signs of this trend slowing down in 2017.
